One of the challenges of this project brought was the balance between realism and art. We wanted to have this piece be grounded in realism, but have an artistic flair to it as well. With trying to be grounded in realism that presented its own challenges. How does a large aircraft fly in space? We used as much reference as possible but the real references are limited and none are like this aircraft. Through lots of trial and error, we were able to land on a great end result.
