Kawasaki's goal for this project was to breathe new life into products that they have had on the market for over 20 years. They wanted it to feel tactile and real, and showcased in an environment that was fitting to where these pumps are manufactured. Ozone films director Eric Dimmick and I worked closely on the storyboards to plan out each specific feature that needed to be called out. From there we talked through the movement of the camera since we wanted to try and achieve this as a one take animation. Once the boards were approved, it was on to making a smooth one take camera animation. One of the unique challenges with having it be a one take animation meant we saw 360 degrees around the product, which meant having to build out a full environment to showcase. This project had lots of fun elements to it, and this has been a great marketing tool for the company to help them stand out and share with protentional clients looking to purchase these pumps.
